During the past five years, Alison became very much involved in portraiture, studio photography and wedding photography. Alison is also associated with the popular TV fashion program ‘Looks’ where she explains basic tips about the art of photographic technique to the televiewers !

Parallel with the art of photography, Alison has an impressive career in modelling and beauty pageants both locally and abroad. She proudly carried the Maltese flag in various overseas activities, starting a highly successful year 2006 through a series of modeling events particularly abroad. In June, that year, she was invited to participate in a fashion show in Sicily. This was followed by London in July when she participated and placed a prestigious first runner-up position for Malta in the Miss Teen Commonwealth, after Miss Bahamas. Then in October that same year she was invited to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a guest in the Malaysian/Indian global pageant. That unforgettable year 2006 closed for Alison by her participation in Mannheim Germany, again representing Malta in the Miss Queen of the World 2006 beauty contest.

Once again, Alison represented her country in Alicante, Spain in the ‘Best International Female Model’ in July 2008. In the following year, in October 2009, Alison formed part of the Maltese winning team in the Miss European 2009 in Folkestone, Kent carrying the title of ‘Best team dance’ for Malta. Her modeling career culminated in November 2009, when again, she represented Malta in the third world-ranking contest, i.e. Miss Earth 2009 Beauty Pageant on Boracay Island, the Philippines, which went to Miss Brazil. During this event, Alison appeared in various photo shoots, environmental activities, fashion shows and was also shortlisted for the Miss Earth TV Promo around Asia on ABS CBN TV network.

Alison is currently modeling for a leading fashion boutique for TV promos. She is currently enjoying the ‘dual role, both as a model and a photographer ! This in itself creates a better understanding for Alison therefore communicating better with her models that this time happen to be in front of HER camera!

Joelle Cortis, Miss Malta 2010

Joelle, 23 year old from Zebbug is the winner of the 47th edition of the Miss Malta competition! Joelle is a 6th year Law student at the University of Malta and she also makes part of the Malta middle-long distance Athletics National Team.

Joelle has been into running since the age of 7 and she holds two junior national records on the track for 3000m and 5000m. She also travels abroad to compete, recently she went to the European Cross Country Championships in Dublin Ireland and to the Half Marathon in Lisbon Portugal clocking a personal best time for her of 1:24.28. Joelle also won several international medals at the FISEC Games. Some of the Races she won recently are;

- Malta Full Marathon February 2011
- Malta Challenge Marathon November 2010 

Joelle is also into modeling and she started her career when she was 17years old. She started with some casual photo shoots and now Joelle has been featured in many advertising campaigns all around the island;

Joelle describes herself as very ambitious, outgoing and friendly. She loves to travel and she wants to see the Seven Wonders of the World. Some of her ambitions are to get her Doctorate in November 2011, her Notary Public Warrant 2011, win medals at the small states of Europe games (GSSE) and go to the Olympics. 

Joelle thanks her parents and siblings for their constant support, her friends and her fiancé!

Tanita, 19 year old from Gharghur, is currently a student at the University of Malta studying Bachelor of Commerce. She likes travelling, modelling and reading.

“I Started modeling in 2008 and it was a great experience so I continued taking part in different beauty pageants learning and gaining more experience in each one. I even travelled to China to take part in Miss Leisure after placing as second runner up in Miss Glamorous 2008, held by Glamorous Entertainment which was an experience that affected my life and of which I will never forget. I look forward to graduate and continue in my modeling career.

Winning Miss Malta, was something I also wished and it is a really a dream come true. Not everyone gets to get the chance to be Miss Malta, so I will surely treasure this for the rest of my life.”

A 20yr old teacher of English, brown hair, brown eyes, medium complexion. Practice gymnastics, loves reading and swimming. Very friendly person and has a happy character. Her plans for the future are to have her own retail business for fashion wear.

Elizabeth Bonello hails from the beautiful village of Gharghur. Beautiful dark brown hair and dark Brown eyes to match the typical mediterranean complexion celebrated her 17th birthday in the University Spotlights wearing glittering crystal beeded Crown.

Miss Malta received greetings from the large crowd present in the auditorium of the Graduation Theatre. She also received personal greetings and congratulations upon the announcement of the winning the prestigious title of Miss Malta from Hon. Minister of Tourism & Culture.

Elizabeth speaks English, Maltese and Italian. She attends a course in hair arts while she works in a family business. She is also a resident dancer at the Tourists Academy entertainment of the Valletta Waterfront apart that she is very familiar personality in the main TV stations in Malta

Miss Malta looks forward to be a worthy ambassador for Malta in International competitions abroad in the very near future.

24yrs old Annalise Azzopardi from the peaceful and quiet village of Dingli won the title Miss Republic of Malta. She’s the owner of a Beauty & Hairdressing salon in Dingli.

Annalise pretty green eyes, copper hair and medium comploxion impressed the panel of judges to choose her as the winner of the said title.

She achieved successful involvement hair styling models in big events and hair shows.

Janice Bezzina, an 18yr old student from San Gwann won the title of Miss Maltese Nation. She’s studying at MCAST and speaks Maltese, English & Italian.

Janice is the eldest daughter of fashion designer Joe Bezzina who is well known for elegant and stunning fashions. She happened to be as well the lucky winner of “Miss Talent” & “Miss Tourism”.

She has a medium fair complexion and brown sparkling eyes matches her long brown hair. She hopes to eventually own a hairdressing & beauty salon.

Joelene Attard of Xewkija Gozo, University Student in Accounts and Finance, speals Maltese, English & German. She has semi-blonde complexion to match her high-lighted brown hair and brown eyes. Joelene is a regular fashion model for leading Fashion Houses in Malta & Gozo.

Her participation in the 44th Miss Malta competition entitled her the honour to receive the title of “Miss Beauty & Solidarity In Aid Of The Disabled” for proving the biggest amount of fund raising and voluntary work for people in need.

17yr old Stefanel Zammit of B’Kara, student in IT & Telecommunications, is the most popular contestant in the Miss Malta Competition 2007 as she received more than 2300 replies from readers of the daily & Sunday newspapers in Malta featuring the public contest “Who will be Miss Malta 2007″.

Stefanel’s hazel eyes, brown hair and medium blonde complexion was the most favorite amongst readers. Having an ambition to achieve a career in technology, she spends her free time windsurfing and chatting.
